How to stop your neighbours cursing you

by Amanda on February 6, 2009

I’m convinced that leafblowers are the most inane and useless product ever invented. When the lazy so-and-sos down the street bring theirs out, I know I’m not the only one cursing. The solution is a humble product that’s almost become obsolete. Do you agree? Watch here and tell me.

Reading thru some of your comments, I think you should have penned a book about peoples behaviour and how it affects you rather than this sketchy book for women renovating? I am not sure that you have lifted a finger or just barked orders?? Does that warrant a book???

[From Amanda: Hi there Charlie. Um, thanks for the comment! Here's the news though: my book is not for women renovating. In fact most people are surprised once they delve into it, as to how informative AND entertaining the book is. But don't just take my word for it, or Robert Caulfield's from Archicentre or a number of others, go read it for yourself. If you did you'd also have the answer to both your last two questions. Thanks again!]

Amanda - I have had a read, but sorry do not find it as useful as your other followers?? I have completed 6 renovations, with builders or using friend tradesman from the age of 19 to now, 27, from the Central Coast, to a 5 bedroom home in Strathfield, so I have a lot more experience than you… I just sounds like you are trying to make up for your loses by what seems to be becoming bad friends with builders, legal tackles and the likes. I wish you luck but just dont think the book to be good at all, survivor??? We are all here to make money, and you have to be smart in renovating and not allow it to blow your budget. Or, are you just blowing your trumpet?? I saw your article in the paper, you on the news, and it looks as though you are using someone elses contacts to gain publicity about a book that is not worthy of a shelf. All the best…. I hope you put a bandaid on all that hard work that you have done… did you really lift a finger in anything??

[From Amanda: Charlie you seem to have had quite a number of renovation experiences. The book is aimed at first-timers and outlines how to avoid the common pitfalls. Best of luck with your future renovations.]
