My book’s in store … although you’d really have to know what you were looking for to find it!

At my local bookstore - Better Read Than Dead - my book’s in the architecture ‘overflow’ section, coincidentally right above the book of a colleague of mine, Faie Davis. (Hers is the Look Book - bottom shelf. I’m right underneath the dummy.)

Re book display - when I launched Robert’s book I went to every book store I could find and out the book in a prominent position whether it was there or not! Also stood in the store with the book in my hand flicking through the pages laughing, nodding etc - amazing how many people actually came and got a copy and bought it. This might be hard for you to do as you are on the cover but Michael could do it
or wear a big hat! Take copies out of the architecture centre and put copies in the bestsellers or new book section - the staff will not notice I promise I have done this many times. Will do some stores tomorrow if I get a chance.

Ha! I love this suggestion. Michael says that he’ll do many things to support me but he has to draw the line at this as he just doesn’t ‘have the front’! I guess it will be me in movie star sunglasses and a floppy hat…

You’ll just have to train those dogs to help out.
Another thing that works is if you call into local bookstores and introduce yourself as the author. Offer to sign some copies and ask if they will display them (window would be nice!) with a sign that says signed by the LOCAL author. Most bookstores are thrilled to have signed ones on hand. By the way I think local can be anywhere in Sydney
